We certainly find ourselves in the midst of strange times. We wanted to take a minute to update you on our current operations as briefly and informatively as possible. At the bottom of this email, we’ll also paste the content of our COVID-19 email for those who missed it and a link to our online email archives if you prefer to look at it that way or want to catch up on old emails (cuz who isn’t sick of emails these days, right?)
We’re Open at Reduced Hours & Public Store-Front is Closed
lifethreads albums remains open, at reduced operating and support hours. What does this mean?
- ONLINE ORDERS? Not much should change really. You may notice slightly delayed production times and likely delayed responses to support emails but we’re doing our best to keep everything moving as closely to normal as possible.
- LOCAL PICK UP ORDERS? You may still pick up BUT you must call/text ahead to arrange a pick-up time. Please use the lifethreads albums direct line: 778.654.6226
- LOCAL & DON’T WANT TO PICK UP? We offer local shipping and drop-shipping direct to your customers. Learn more about Drop Shipping in our Knowledge Base.
- SHIPPING? Canada Post is our shipping partner. They are awesome and doing an amazing job of keeping things moving for all of us. However, due to recent policy changes in several areas, they are no longer able to guarantee delivery times. Everything will move as fast as it can and it will arrive when it does.
- Have a signature required? In keeping with the social distancing order, they have also instituted a safe drop policy. They will no longer require signatures at the door, but instead will leave your package in a safe area if they are able to do so. If not, they will leave a pick up notice with information on how you can retrieve your package. If worried about it, we suggest leaving a note for your postal carrier when expecting a delivery.
Hopefully that answers the big questions for you all. If not, please contact us with your questions and we’ll do our best to answer quickly and if appropriate, add to the list above.

Hello,
No doubt, your inbox has been inundated with these announcements from businesses, as has ours. I wanted to reach out to you, our customers, and provide an update as to how we’re dealing with this as a business and more importantly how we hope to serve and support you all through this.
We find ourselves in the midst of unprecedented and oddly surreal times. It seems like not 10 minutes passes without a piece of news being dropped that changes everything…yet again.
We Are Here for You:
Our hearts go out to many of you who are experiencing a sudden cancellation of bookings and an evaporation of your business. It sucks, plain and simple. The unknown is scary and we get that.
We are a small business ourselves. Really, just a handful of us make this thing happen. So we feel it when you feel it. We value our community of customers and users and we are working on plans to support you as best as we can as we all navigate the next weeks and months.
The practical stuff:
For as long as we can, we will maintain the most normal operations we are able to. You can still place orders online, we are still receiving them, producing them & shipping them in as timely a manner as possible. By practicing the current health standards and recommendations for all staff and customers, we hope to be able to maintain this as long as possible.
For those of you who are local to us, pick-ups are still available. However, pending government decisions, this may be subject to change so please feel free to call or text 778.654.6226 prior to heading out to make sure the doors are open.
If you cannot get your album due to closures or self-isolation requirements no big deal, it can live here for a while. Also, please remember that we do offer flat rate shipping on all albums of $15 and we can drop ship directly to your customers if you are unable to deliver albums in-person. Contact us at support@lifethreadsalbums.com if this would help you.
The plan:
Our intent or vision for this year, has been to shift our business into being more than just a provider of product. We’d like to become a hub of community and resources for Canadian photographers (and all photographers) in as practical a sense as possible.
Perhaps the current climate will be the tipping point that starts us well into that journey. We plan on launching a Facebook group shortly to provide you with a place to communicate with each other (I mean who gets the situation better than fellow photographers), to share ideas, to share resources and really just support each other moving ahead.
Lastly, I want to personally thank each and every one of our loyal and dedicated customers, you are truly awesome. Stay safe, stay healthy. This will eventually pass and we will all be the better for it.
Thank you,
Russell
